Our clients were planning for this to be their forever home, so they wanted a garden that would support the way they lived now and remain practical, welcoming and enjoyable well into the future, with a consistent sense of flow from the front garden through to the backyard.
Rather than working against the property's slope, we used it to guide the design. A permeable river rock swale and a discreet strip drain now manage overland stormwater flow while sitting comfortably within a visually rich, inviting landscape that connects the front and back gardens for years to come.
