Coastal and Tropical Garden Renovation

At the front, the brief was formal and coastal with a strong entrance to the home. At the rear, the owners wanted something much more relaxed and subtropical, with privacy from neighbouring properties and a lush backdrop for entertaining.

The property now has two very different landscape experiences that still belong to the same home. The front feels welcoming and considered, while the backyard becomes a private subtropical retreat for entertaining and relaxing. The retained wrought iron screen has also become one of the owners' favourite features, demonstrating that good renovation design isn't always about replacing what already exists.
